While I like talking about the 2nd order effects of AI, on our brains and wellbeing as a society, the extractive business practices of the big labs, loss of agency, etc., I think it’s important to keep an eye on what these things _can_ do. Fighting over consciousness or not being able to count misses the tree for the forest. I really like this study because it talks about capabilities compared to humans.
