I often was kinda sad back home in Mpls that nothing more militant was happening on May Day, but at least people usually got in the street and sometimes there was a spark (and ofc Mpls also has its first weekend in May hippie dippie puppetstravaganza). For my first May Day out here in the plains, the fuckin DSA cancelled their tentative May Day mill-about-in-a-park, and instead suggested people attend a crawfish boil (I am not making this up)
