I get that the reality of development today is that a lot of our tools are rented, and paid for... but christ: crafting an entire skill set around a proprietary tool is MAJORLY risky. Whether that's LLM slop bots, or some proprietary database, you essentially get held hostage by whatever enshitification crap they wanna do to their products. Long live #FOSS #programming
