That infrastructure is systemically underfunded and not yet designed for AI-native use. @danielskatz@fediscience.org @researchsoft@fosstodon.org Hey. The LLMs used and sold as ai? Those scientists designed them. They use LLMs already. A lot. A lot of them are very good with LLMs, and other heuristic devices that are related. They probably have had the knowledge to do what Anthropic et al are doing now for decades, but never have. They know what these programs can do very, very well, and that is the very same reason they aren't buying their hype. Imagine if, instead of Aslan having been there when the laws were written, he instead WROTE THEM HIMSELF and here you are trying to sell them back their tool after all the usefulness has been beaten and force fed out of it. Just fund the fucking sciences without holding them to some idiotic ai push like it sounds like your doing. EDIT: You are the head data scientist of... for FUCKS sake man, please let this be just a cynical crash grab, and if it isn't, and you are earnest about this shit? well, enjoy sucking the slop, slopsucker.
