You may think these removals are because Windows 11's Explorer replaced the ribbon from Windows 8 with a toolbar, or perhaps the later addition of tabs in Explorer, but no! The Control Panel in Windows 11 still starts the "Ribbon Explorer", and yet it's missing both the menu bar and the GAC view.

hah, there is actually a Microsoft documentation page saying that this Explorer-integrated GAC view is outdated and shouldn't be used anymore. They removed it with .NET Framework 4, but apparently older versions might still install it. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dotnet/netframework-4.0/34149zk3(v=vs.100) So perhaps this view would show up even on Windows 11, if an appropriately old .NET Framework is installed! But clearly Microsoft won't care about breaking this particular user of the Explorer menu bar.
