Windows 10 also has a custom view for the %WINDIR%\assembly folder, which contains .NET's Global Assembly Cache. The custom view showed the assemblies in a nicer form than the real folder structure, with the "Details" view and "Properties" showing info like each assembly's version and architecture.

And there is, you guessed it, a custom menu bar item: "Cache Settings...", which opens a "Cache Properties" dialog (very consistent naming there). This would have become inaccessible with Windows 11... if they hadn't removed the custom view entirely. Windows 11 just shows the raw folder contents.
