Even Interrail looks expensive compared to bus (and I don't even want to think about the whole hassle of figuring out mandatory seat or bike reservations and exceptions for Interrail validity).

For the price of 4 train tickets (720 EUR) to Venice (we'll be bikepacking with my brother) I could even buy an old car and have some cash left for fuel and drive 8 hours.
