@MCDuncanLab I use version control (git), even for documents that are never uploaded anywhere else (I use it to track my edits while writing a paper, for example). A side-effect is that I'm (relatively) ruthless in deleting text --- I can always recover it with git after all :) I had like 4 versions of my CV a while back and consolidated it into 1 version tracked by git.
