@kauzerei YES! I was thinking just today while watching people on Youtube half-heartedly bend notes in imitation "Why isn't anyone else making this instrument!?"

@tankgrrl well, that's youtube, where a 9 minute reaction video, in which a famous grey-haired dude tells nothing new, gets 3 million views. Sure, there are still people who publish videos just for fun, but on youtube there's an incentive towards quickly responding to a popular thing and being ready to jump to the next one. Building a guitar takes some time, you may miss your precious potential views, and end up with an instrument too few viewers will care about in a couple of months. So bends, cable binders and fretless basses it is :D
