Picking back up a short story I'd started but didn't finish involving Radium + Vampires and thinking about how we *knew* radium was dangerous pretty quickly but those involved in the sale of the stuff were pretty keen on keeping the money flowing as long as possible. Now apply that to Generative AI and how OpenAI's arguing that it's not their fault their product drives people to self-harm because it's against the ToS.
