Everybody is complaining about RAM and how difficult it is to acquire that brand new GPU to play those fancy new games. That's tough for sure.
But I can't stop thinking about hospitals that can't afford new equipment for the same reason. We can't play now, but soon, our kids won't be able to receive proper diagnostics or treatment because this world is nuts. Techbros kill.

@on_code@mastodon.gamedev.place honestly you could tripple the cost of computers and I don't think it would be any dent on the budget of most hospitals, they are buying medical grade calibrated scanning equipment for hundreds of thousands while fulfilling some very expensive wages. Schools on the other hand are being pushed more and more towards low-cost low quality e-waste or predatory hardware loan schemes or inadequate tablet devices :akko_sad:
