I don't know why they did, but Carney and Sheinbaum (and other people) could have just not said anything. This fake decorum regarding a fascist president achieves nothing, (some) Americans would only register your words if you would support the attempt. I sure wonder if the fascists just staged the whole thing to boost "daddies" poll numbers.
