@deadsuperhero@social.wedistribute.org yeah my first thought reading your last post was neodb. The trick is they're all so under staffed and funded, they all mostly tie into Overdrives monopoly and I would bet they wouldn't let someone
I feel like including n their library of things and encouraging a local fedi ecosystem in the community would be necessary for it to be used.
Maybe if a more singular service running a neodb or something bridged the different library networks for reviews and recommendations somehow based on inventory and user reviews? That might be enough critical mass to get used by more folks

@Crazypedia NeoDB would be an interesting basis for this kind of thing, the only element it lacks is sharing a content attachment, like for books or music or movies. But it could definitely support a custom provider for catalog entries, that being the library’s own database.
