@simontatham Is there also a useful analogy in the story of how you eventually dealt with your email problem?

@poleguy only that I had to stop feeling guilty about not answering everything, and prioritise emails that led to code improvements (bug reports, contributions) over support queries, on the basis that improving the code makes *lots* of users' lives better, while answering one person's question only makes that one user happy.
