Participating in the read-a-longs on one of the MBD Discords, I have become *very* aware of how frequently the word "foyer" appears in the books. Also, I have learned that apparently Canadians (or at least some of us) pronounce it differently from Americans. And I do mean anglophone Canadians, but we seem to follow essentially French pronunciation rules for it. "Foy-ay", not "foy-er". Otherwise we mostly seem to pronounce it the same. I never noticed this before, and it amuses me to know it now.
