@skysailor@social.scribblers.club @Bel_tamtu@meemu.org I'd always thought of it as a class thing, at least until I moved to Canada, but it could easily be regional, or both (that class, in my Midwestern youth, was "trying too hard to look fancy," but I want to make it clear that I'm not accusing anyone here of hypercorrecting)
