@pacman I'm very satisfied with the quality of Tom Bihn bags. All the ones I've bought are well thought out and indestructible.

@RalphBassfeld Aaah, right. Sorry. Misunderstanding. The Tom Binh bags are very neat but (for me) more for a day trip. The PLCS backpacks are for multiday/-week/-month trekking away from civilisation with, e.g., water supplies for several days, MREs for several days or weeks, emergency medical needs (bandages, portable splint, etc), bivouacking needs), etc. With all components zipped together they can carry up to 45kg and they are made of 100% rip/tear resistant fabric.
