@ClarusPlusPlus I see it. Even when I view your post on your own instance (gamedev.lgbt), there is no preview. It's not a federation issue if it happens on the original instance. I'm guessing your instance tried to fetch the first linked page, failed, and that's why it couldn't generate a preview. But that's only a guess. You'll have to contact your admin if you want to know for sure what happened.

@ClarusPlusPlus Each instance has to fetch the linked page and generate its own preview, and that can fail. So, your instance might fail to generate a preview while mine succeeds, or vice versa. Potential causes for failure include Internet hiccups, your instance being blocked by the linked page's server, the linked page's server blocking bots in general (a Mastodon instance fetching a preview counts as a bot), your instance's admins turning off previews, etc.
