@cadadr @hywan Yeah, I think you can add a lot of branches to the lineage I sketched above. Zed is made by the same people who worked on Atom, Gram forks Zed and removed the AI integration. VSCodium strips out telemetry out of VSCode. Cursor forked VSCode, adding AI and probably more telemetry. JetBrains had fleet that was supposed to displace Fleet, but that didn't work out.

    @pkal @cadadr @hywan I'm getting really tired of this game of reverse hot potato, where every time a hand-off is made to rework/revert some idiotic 'feature set' and force users into hopping from one program to another to get away from the crap we keep trying to get away from. It's an absolute waste of time to have to research every teeny little change to find suitable replacements when a maintainer/author buys into the AI con job and destroys an editor.
