@robertprice Yes, total credit to HLD for going into a ridiculous amount of detail about that routine. It seems appropriate to use the Speccy routine and the rawness of this makes me very happy, it's just using a transistor on an address line. I've been curious about this ever since Spencer started talking about the 3C and explained the ingenious way that the serial works. We've been actively working on adding this to the rom image on Codeberg.
I did see Ben hooking up a SID chip to his breadboard computer, is that the one?

@shieladixon there was one on using square waves from a W65C22 timer. This seemed very portable to the RC2014. Maybe it could even be changed to use a Z80 CTC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIOR7kRevPU
