The audio in this video is a little soft, so be grateful for small mercies. I have been working on a secret project, which is to put the ZX Spectrum BEEP code into ROM for the #RC2014 Orton 3C. By coincidence, I found that I was using a tune from Star Wars on the day before Star Wars Day and so I went for it today and made a complete medley. (Yes my Orton 3C is fitted with the 3C-PO shim...) I wrote my first blog post about this before I'd added the ROM, so it was a pretty pure 3-chip ...

I've been having fun with my RC2014 Orton 3C, toggling in an etch-a-sketch program that uses my dual analogue input module and 8x8 LED matrix module: https://newstuffforoldstuff.blogspot.com/2026/04/toggling-etch-sketch-program-into-orton.html

I've been using this kind of stuff recently and have really enjoyed putting some together myself. This is part of my 'falling asleep music' endeavours but is also a development of the MIDIPan / MIDISID improv I did last week. Lie back and enjoy it, as Tommy used to say. https://youtu.be/uyWBTalOI4U

Today I discovered that Music Mouse was ported to #Amiga and ST. Here's me fooling around with it for the first time on real hardware. https://youtu.be/Irb_BFijsYU

@edbrindley I can't tell you how grateful I am for this. Thank you. It's fun to listen to the examples, and this is my first go at making music for FM synthesis: https://youtu.be/ivijAE1Xoy0

This is what I've been obsessed with for the last few weeks. It's taken a while but I now have a working Haxocorder - a custom hacked Haxophone. I'm still refining but it's now a usable electronic wind instrument for a recorder player. https://youtu.be/C5GVVqOo5GA
