@bellinghman @simontatham I was convinced I'd never use Octal right up until I accidentally bought a PDP8.

@dtl @bellinghman @simontatham Until I realised that 0 in C/C++ is an octal, not a decimal constant, and as such is quite possibly the most used octal value in wide use that no one thinks about
