@lifewithtrees @mvsde I have long felt, that arrogance is the main obstacle to open source reaching the masses. Not Big Tech.Too bad that knowing about tech and understanding how to communicate with people and actually do something with them are two very different skillsets.

@Tamtam @mvsde it’s extremely different but the arrogance of open source tech is absolutely the biggest barrier to adoption in my opinion. “Works on my machine” is the approach to so many things. Which means it doesn’t work! And then the gaslighting and condescension on top yeesh. Glad I’m out of tech after 15 years and teaching French now. There is a MUCH greater recognition of what people need to adopt new skills (spoiler that eye rolling is never helpful)
