Total Eclipse of the Sun August 21, 2017 There will be a total solar eclipse across a great swath of North America next April. I met with friends to camp in the middle of Wyoming to capture this photo using my long lens with special filtering film covering the objective. Look carefully at this color photo and you can see a couple solar prominences. I was amazed I was able capture the corona this well. #ThrowbackThursday #eclipse #photo #sun #astronomy
