I own 10 acres of desert land in the middle of nowhere, about 90 minutes north of Reno. I've visited it a few times when I actually lived in Reno, but now I live substantially farther away, so it's not feasible to visit it just to go "yep, still desert". But I should still occasionally verify it's still desert. Luckily, the county has a GIS site which gives fairly high resolution imagery of the county every few years, and, importantly, they actually date the imagery. So, as of May 5, 2025, I can verify that the complete contents of nearly half a million square feet of real estate continue to be: 1) Sagebrush 2) A single wooden post (I have no idea what the history of the wooden post is. It came with the parcel, and who am I to question history?)
