@amy @slyka it is my impression that chinese manufacturers are trying a lot to attract and retain customers by using non standard solutions. There was some fuss some tume ago with multicolor silkscreen (or mask) stuff that used RSA signed data to hide how they did it. Cant remember what manufacturer did that. Was it also JLC with easyeda? I intuitively hate these attempts.

@f4grx the plugin isn't made by JLC, it's all volunteer work. And you can't get around *some* level of non-standardness when assigning part numbers from a catalogue cause every manufacturer is gonna have a different inventory system for the parts they offer.
