@yacc143 @VeroniqueB99 We'll see what happens as events proceed. WW2 references are irrelevant. It would seem, at least from the US side, that the bombing will topple the current regime, in some way that has not been clearly explained and still remains quite vague. Judging by their actions, Iranians themselves seem either too lazy, too scared, too disorganized or too repressed for too many decades, to accomplish this.

@yacc143 @VeroniqueB99 The Israeli approach is much simpler- destroy Iran's capabilities to threaten Israel, and that aside, let the chips fall where they may. Once Israel's security is attained, it's mission accomplished, from their perspective. The fate of Iran or of Iranians outside of that is immaterial to Israel.

@Felis_Catus_Domesticus Cough, yes that would be the regime that routinely murders 30000 a month of their own citizens because they dare to protest. Oops that was on the past 12 months. And that in the Iran Iraq war used attrition tactics with human cannon fodder. (A war that had at least half a million Iranian casualties offer 8 years) And last but not least when exactly do you expect their sleeper cells of terrorist supporters e.g. in the USA to be activated? @VeroniqueB99
