It looks like New Zealand is going to abolish their media regulator, the Broadcasting Standards Authority. This will inevitably give the far right, liars, scammers and politicians a much looser connection with the truth. As citizens we can turn to web archiving to preserve evidence of perceived shenanigans. Go to https://web.archive.org/save/ to push a web page to archive.org. Works less well with social media and web applications than standalone websites. You can also drop a line to the National Library of New Zealand, who can archive pages you believe are in danger of being removed from the web. Also works with entire sites.
