@sunfish this actually bugs the hell out of me. The literal definition of concurrent is “simultaneous” and yet for some reason everyone in computers has decided that it means “not necessarily simultaneous”

@christmastree @sunfish I suspect that "parallel" was the first term to be used in computing. The word concurrent came later. Now, I have no idea how to actually research this.
