Dark patterns, dark patterns, dark patterns. Indeed's listing says I MUST create an Indeed account before continuing to the company website to apply. That's only true *with their button* but I can just, you know, go to the company website using my advanced internet skills of typing in the company name in my browser and going to the "Careers" section. Also note that applying on the company's site won't give Indeed any of my data but creating an account to use a button will. <smdh>
