Basically it is an adaptation of the #lgm26 design as pcb artwork. There are semitransparent areas (bare fr4) where auto-changing rgb leds shine through from the back, reinterpreting the dynamic pattern from the lgm website in the color space.
Since the cheap auto fading leds have manufacturing differences, the colors drift apart over time. There is no microcontroller or programming involved.

@nomis @GIMP @lgm That certainly looks pretty! I especially love the effect the bare FR4 makes with the dot patter. At first I thought it was textured acrylic. Aren't you worried that D2 would be shorted by D1's lead?
