If you are at @lgm and missed the soldering workshop at #lgm26: the PCBs are available at the info/merch desk, and I have more in my bag. There should be enough for everybody. I also have more spare components, but I am out of small plastic bags. Fold yourseld an envelope and I'll hand out the necessary components as long as I have some. Instructions are available at https://md.ha.si/lgm-badge Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Alexander from the motion ensemble talking at #lgm26 about working with the @godot engine. If you’ve never played wit godot: try it. I myself used in a few game jams and while it is not my preferred way of working it is quite powerful and makes game development quite accessible.

When we invented the "state of libre graphics" format for @lgm the main goal was to avoid/compress long talks about intricate project internals. I love how this format now has evolved into a showcase for a huge number of known and unknown, mainstream and obscure, big and small projects on a level playing field. The wide range of free software projects in this area is astonishing to me. Thanks to MABarbe for collecting slides and doing the presentation!

@twilliability doing funky stuff at #lgm26 with a text editor running "in a texture" blended on top of a rendered effect, the effects' source being edited in said editor... Fantastic!

We end the #lgm26 on quite a high note: there is a solid local team for the @lgm 2027 in #linz, #austria. There even is a hint of organizer/venue for 2028. A lot of structure that was lost over the pandemic, leaving @graphicore with a lot of holes to plug, seems to get reconstituted. This is exiting! Thanks to @graphicore for a fantastic lgm. Hosting two lgm sequentially is a huge task, and it might actually have saved the event. Thanks a ton.

And now @graphicore presenting TypeRoof at #lgm26 Lots of fun creating type based animations with variable fonts. (In case you didn't know: Lasse organized the two LGMs in Nürnberg. Both were really great and he deserves a ton of credit for that.)

This morning there was an interesting presentation at #lgm about using new typographic ligatures to make written language more gender-neutral. Great ideas with graphically interesting solutions. Thanks to the "Bye Bye Binary"-collective. https://typotheque.genderfluid.space/ #lgm2024, #typography, #genderfluid

:) #did #didit #codeberg

Bah! We're so fucked.
