Lunch was supposed to be a picnic on the Pecos, but smoky air drove us indoors. We decided to eat at Anthony’s Soul Cafe, which is said to have good fried chicken. When we arrived, I was a little worried, as the owner seemed to be awfully thin for someone running a soul food cafe, but the chicken, catfish, mashed taters & gravy, hushpuppies, coleslaw, and cornbread were all delicious, and I told Anthony as much. The place filled up about 11:30. Plus live blues. Recommended! #SantaFe #SoulFood
