My new doctor thinks maybe I have MCAS and that’s part of why I’ve been having these week-long headaches so frequently. (It also fits a lot of other stuff going on.) We are trying a treatment protocol and I started the first of the three new meds last night. Today I feel wrecked, but I’ve also had a really long few weeks, so it might be unrelated to the antihistamine. I’m going to take it easy today and read trans books for the Trans Rights Readathon and sew a new shirt.

I am 67% of the way through Woodworking by Emily St. James, which will be my third book for the Readathon. (First was The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas - loved it. And then Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz - didn’t love it but also think some of the criticism it gets is pretty uncharitable. But I didn’t love it.) I’m sewing a cotton lyocell twill Lyrical shirt from Pattern Emporium. I like their patterns. Tie neck shirts feel very gender joyful for me these days. Like a cravat.
