My point isn't "2.8 is good enough" it's "all the optimistic estimates have been wrong and reality has consistently been better"
"current policies will result in XYZ in ten years" and then it happens in four
My bet is not "2.8 is fine actually", it's "next year's estimate is going to be revised down a little bit again"

@wim_v12e @csepp and if the estimates get revised down by, say, .05C/year for the next ten years, it's down to 2.3, which is already wildly better but again, exponential growth.
