...basically asking, "How did they do that? Did they digitally remove Jim Henson from that shot?" And the first reply post basically started, "given that it was filmed in 1978, it's *unlikely* [emphasis mine] that they did that digitally", and...
i'm getting the impression that modern public school history departments aren't doing their jobs wrt teaching about the development of semiconductors circa 1970 to 2010.

(and they *should* be teaching that, because for any given year in that span, you can't understand what was technically possible (and what wasn't) unless you understand Moore's law and the state-of-the-art of that year.)
