I discovered today that my old MEC rain pants aren't as waterproof as they used to be. Recommendations for solutions welcome.

@hamishb I don't know anything about this company but they advertised MEC rainwear On sale: https://poshmark.ca/brand/MEC-Men-Jackets_&_Coats-Raincoats

@hamishb I found that my elcheapo Mec Rain pants lasted on average about four years of five day a week commuting. Not breathable pants, but ideal for an ebike. Last time I bought them, they were on sale. Showers pass is also good, but more expensive.

@hamishb When my MEC rain pants disintegrated last year, I bought commercial fishing bib pants to replace them. The ones I got were Neptune line from Grundens. They're nice and sturdy, and the overall design seems better suited for layering. I recall finding online shops on the coasts that sell to fishers, in both NS and BC. https://grundens.com/products/neptune-509-bib-pant
