Now, I've been sober basically all the time for years now. But you may not be all that surprised to learn that I smoked a shit-ton of weed in college. Along with various other illicit enjoyments more occasionally, so when a bunch of us druggies heard that there was a study at McLean (a local mental health facility) where we could get paid to do drugs, we said, Hell yeah! The subject of the study was a then-experimental antidepressant called nefazodone. It had already been through safety and efficacy trials; they were interested in studying its abuse potential. So basically, they wanted druggies to take it and tell them how much we liked it. They were particularly looking for people with stimulant and sedative experience. I was a hallucinogens boy, but they didn't really care how much weed I smoked or how many times I'd tripped. (3/15)
