According to the NEA, 54% of Americans are functionally illiterate. The GOP set to work in 1965 to destroy public education after the CRA of 1964 fully integrated the public schools. They succeeded. The percentage of ignoramuses is now too high to survive as a democracy, especially when Morons Are Governing America.
