@ozeng In California's Bay Area, I see people repeatedly using bots in the Test hashtag channel, getting reports of the path to the bot.
It occurs to me that this serves as a way to check that one's client can be seen by the mesh.
Like a mobile phone's cellular network signal indicator?

@murodegrizeco yep, that’s a good method - very common but not an official part of the protocol. Hopefully the local mesh has a website that documents it
