Today at the SPCA I walked Roxy-Lee, Matty, Trudy and Sasha. Trudy still has an "applied" on her board so her adoption is still in progress. She remembered how to run over the A-frame from our last walk, and went through the tunnel a few times too. Sasha looks a lot like Trudy. A rangy, coarse-haired white dog with brown spots and standy-up-floppy ears. But she's bigger and more intense. She charged around the dog run at top speed, clearly needing to burn off a lot of energy. I got her to climb the A frame too. She seemed to really enjoy cuddling and being scritched. She got all floppy, leaning on me and looking as if there were heart emojis beaming from her eyes. Beautiful dog. There are new volunteers, so I wasn't the only one walking dogs today. One of the new people collapsed with giggles because the puppy he was walking kept trying to nibble his hair. That was cute. #SPCADiary #Dogs

The route I have to walk the SPCA dogs goes past the animal hospital. There's a door where I'll often see them loading bags full of the bodies of animals onto a truck. The animals they've had to put down. Today both Trudy and Sasha put their hackles up as I walked them past that door. There was nothing going on that I could see, but they clearly sensed something that upset them. #SPCADiary
