  I’d been feeling unusually tense / stressed / down (okay, sick cat didn’t help), but I finally went on a “real” bike ride yesterday and was transformed! Felt much more resilient. Also interesting: I bought a new, spikier acupressure mat. It’s INTENSE. Too painful in the evenings. But last night, post bike ride? Fine!

  In my book (Suite Française, yes I read slowly 😅), the French are saying “at our house, we don’t live on German time”. Huh, I thought, European countries still had different time zones then. So I looked it up and it’s kinda fascinating. First to implement CET: The Kingdom of Serbia (1884). Luxembourg joined in 1904, but left again in 1918. 😅 (after the first German occupation) BUT THEN! A whole bunch of countries were switched to CET under German occupation in 1940, and never switched back!!...

  Woke up to vicious cat fighting. Ran outside to separate them. The yowling stopped when I got closer. I waited a bit, then went back inside… where Squish was waiting for me. She wasn’t involved at all! 😅 Phew.

  My student has found an app to practice for the Lux language test (for citizenship) using AI speech recognition and correction. Ot1h it’s kinda impressive that it works at all. OTOH it makes many mistakes and is therefore unsuitable for Lux learners.

  My electric toothbrush is broken. It randomly turns on and off. I’ve put it outside so it’s less annoying, but I can still hear it. May have to put it in the basement. And buy a new toothbrush! (Tbf it’s very old. Probably 15 years or so.)

  WHINE! I agreed to do a translation of some legal texts (in French, for that is our official language of law and all legal texts are in French) into Lux, for a fellow translator who's doing a PhD on the matter. It is difficult and unfun! Luckily I'm allowed to consult my mother (a retired judge). Without her there's no chance I could do this. I don't even understand the French. 😂

  Niederanven (where I live) have painted a rainbow on a piece of cycle path and their Facebook post has attracted lots of homophobic and generally shitty comments. 🤮 Surprisingly, the (CSV, i.e. Christian party) mayor has spoken out against the hate. 👍 RTL, wisely (for once) have not enabled comments on their article.
