@quidcumque @Zumbador yes, this is exactly what I preach at work as well, if you don't want to disclose, be specific about the need you need support with instead. And when managers ask how to talk about it with who they suspect to be neurodivergent I say, just ask the person what their bottlenecks or energy drains are where you can support them!

@quidcumque @Zumbador yeah I've found labels to be unhelpful especially with others. Everyone has ideas about what labels mean, and even with health professionals it can sound like I'm just a hypochondriac. Also, aids can come from odd places: a friend discovered a medication that helps with auditory sensitivity, which isn't prescribed for autism but they find helpful! I think part of imposter syndrome is "need" vs want. Do it need this, or am I just being "needy?" So, maybe we ask for favors.
