If AI were in fact the future (it isn't) the correct approach to educating people about it would be teaching people statistics so they could understand the strengths and limitations of the statistical modeling theorems on which all "AI" and "ML" are based and therefore understand to which problems models can be applied to with quantifiable results.

@eleanor@chaosfem.tw it seems to me that it is a huge failure we don't really teach statistics at all in school, when it impacts so many things in our world that are very poorly understood by most people
