The school has hired a musician from Venezuela to manage the orchestra. He’s a real pro (guessing he went through El Sistema), and a proper showman. Definitely sticks out among the dour Germans. When he walks onto the stage, he shakes hands with the 1st violin player and then waves to the audience, as if this was the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
