Went to Theatre Passe Muraille and watched Karma, a play set in Canada and Syria around 2012. Themes include civil war, family, secrets, and more. Satisfied, though I found the performances a bit uneven. Two reviews of the play from Friday’s opening night see flaws I don’t agree with. Digging a little deeper, I note the piece was workshopped in November with a completely different cast. Not lighthearted. Some superb performances. Good tech work with minimal resources.
