After my term at the GNOME Board of directors was finished last month, I finally managed to write a public retrospective: https://blogs.gnome.org/pabloyoyoista/2025/08/25/retrospective-of-my-term-as-a-director-for-the-gnome-foundation/ Hope some people find it useful. It was not easy to write, but I think it is something necessary.

@pabloyoyoista this is really thoughtful, pablo. i think you’re being too hard on yourself, fwiw. attending board meetings can be exhausting on its own and i think it’s safe to say there’s a lot of gratitude on the board for all your work as a director. thank you for your service and thank you for taking the time to write this.

@pabloyoyoista This is such a brave post and attitude. I really hope more people follow your example and it becomes the norm. Thanks for your productive directorship. It was shorter and happened in a more demanding period, yet your contribution was very palpable. In retrospective, I still wouldn't take your resignation!

@pabloyoyoista nice to have you all back to ourselves ;p seriously though you have been putting a lot into postmarketOS and it's clear how your GNOME experience has changed how you approach postmarketOS (in a good way!)
