I set up a new Minecraft tech mod server for my friends, but it seems I'm probably going to spend more time securing, optimizing, and adding unnecessary scripts to the server hosting it than my friends will spend playing it.
This is the Star Wars Galaxies server all over again.

It's the FTB neo tech modpack. I've never played a Minecraft version newer than like the initial full release. my VMhost is SUFFERING. I gave it 2 cores (5900x, so very nice per core performance) and just my testing spikes to 80%+ usage. I haven't even built any unhinged contraptions yet... It has 128gb ddr5 so if Its getting close to time to build a new one i can reuse the ram and it won't be that expensive.
