Yeah so that laptop I used for gaming is definitely dead. 🫠 After my tools arrived today, I tried booting it with a disconnected battery, but no luck. The power adapter seems to work, but I can’t test it because its proprietary. 🙄 Tried various USB-C ports with a different charger, but no luck.
If it was RAM, the power LED would surely turn on, right? But it doesn’t. The whole device is just dead. No sound, no light. 🤔… (1/2)

While I had the backplate off, I noticed something like an oil stain on an area of the heatshield (Vapor chamber?). Could it be that it leaked and fried the board? Now I’m looking for a professional and trustworthy repair shop…maybe they can help me decide whether it’s worth fixing the problem or using the parts and slapping them into a new device. 🫠 (2/2)
