This Thursday, there are local elections in the United Kingdom, which I need to vote in. Time to check out my tactical vote! In the UK, we use the "First Past The Post" voting system, which means whoever gets the most votes wins. Unfortunately, that system has a flaw: if there's one super-racist party and lots of progressive parties, the progressive parties have to share the progressive votes between them, while the super-racist party gets ALL of the super-racist votes. This means the only way to beat the super-racist party is if everyone votes for the progressive party which is most likely to win. That's what tactical voting is! This website, https://stopreformuk.vote , tries to tell you what your tactical vote is, but it's always best to check for yourself - maybe they haven't covered your area yet, or they could be wrong, or there could be misinformation flying around.
